CHAPMAN SET TO DEFEND CAROLINA AM CROWN! WANTS IN THE WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR!
Colin Chapman, the 2011 Carolina AM Champion, has confirmed he will defend his title at the 2012 Carolina AM Golf Championship, the metro area’s most prestigious Amateur golf event.
“Even though I won the Carolina AM last year, I couldn’t try for the Wyndham because I also qualified for the U.S. Amateur and had to play there. This year I plan to win again, and make it into The Wyndham Championship, Chapman declared !”
Charles Humphreys, Director of the Carolina AM, said, “We are excited and privileged to renew our partnership with the historic Wyndham Championship of Greensboro. This year we will send our top 2 finishers to the pre-qualifier! What an outstanding rare opportunity for 2 regional Amateur golfers to have a chance to play in a PGA Tour golf tournament. This doesn’t happen often.”
